When the Spirit of the Lord came upon Othniel, it was the Holy Spirit who empowered him for service. When the Spirit of the Lord comes upon you, He will help you live a godly life and serve with power.
Just as the Spirit of the Lord came upon Othniel to give him victory over a profane enemy, so He can fill every corner of your life with renewed energy. But He can’t fill the empty parts of your life if you don’t yield them to Him. Cry out for the strength of the Spirit of the Lord to empower you..
Just as the Spirit of the Lord strengthened Othniel to overcome a Syrian king, so the Holy Spirit can fill you with a power that you’ve never experienced before.
Here is a simple, powerful prayer you can pray when you feel discouraged.
Holy Spirit, I come to You for victory. Help me overcome outward temptations. Give me the courage to overcome inner doubts.
Lord, I repent of my sin, and I turn to You. I confess my sin, and I ask forgiveness. Holy Spirit, let Your power flow into my life. Come, flow quickly into my life to fill every empty corner with Your power. Amen.
